A science course that does not include a lab component cannot use the AP® designation on a student's high school transcript.
I have developed a lab program with specially tailored labs that meet the College Board requirements for an AP® Chemistry course. The custom-designed labs allow students to perform both quantitative and qualitative experiments.
Students keep a lab notebook following college protocols. Graphing programs and spreadsheets are used to analyze data. Each lab has an online assignment that instantly evaluates the student's work.
You can find a sample lab with instructions and data on the "Course Documents" page.
Students have two options for completing the labs.
Students who want to use the QSL lab kit can purchase it directly from the supplier. Use the link below to purchase the Quality Science Labs Advanced MicroChem Lab Kit ($239.95).
I recognize that QSL cannot ship the lab kit to some of my international students and that some students may not be able to obtain the kit for other reasons. Therefore, I have created videos showing how each lab is performed including sample data. Using my virtual labs as a guide, students can complete the labs using resources available to them. There is no fee for the virtual labs.
