The US National Chemistry Olympiad (USNCO) is a prestigious chemistry competition for high school students, sponsored by the American Chemical Society. Over the years, many of my students have been local and national Chemistry Olympiad winners. I'm proud to announce that my TA, Jesse, and
student, Davy, are finalists in this year's USNCO! While nearly 16,000 students participate in the local Chemistry Olympiad competitions every year, the number of students who get to compete in the US National Chemistry Olympiad is just over 1,000. This is a remarkable achievement, and I'm proud of you, Jesse and Davy! Mr. Moskaluk (April, 2023)
Anna, one of last year's students, has been accepted to the 2023 Dr. Bessie F. Lawrence International Summer Science Institute at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. The program offers high school graduates from around the world the opportunity to participate in hands-on research projects in various fields of science. The program aims to inspire young scientists and foster international collaboration and friendship. The participants will work with leading researchers in
state-of-the-art laboratories, attend lectures and seminars, and enjoy cultural and social activities in Israel. The program is highly selective and competitive. Applicants must have excellent academic records, strong recommendations, and a demonstrated interest in science. Not surprisingly, Anna has also been accepted by both Harvard and Princeton. I'm proud to have been your teacher, Anna! Mr. Moskaluk (April, 2023)
