AP® CHEMISTRY LAB PROGRAM:

A science course that does not include a lab component cannot use the AP® designation on a student's high school transcript.

I’ve designed labs that meet College Board standards, allowing students to perform quantitative and qualitative experiments. Each lab includes detailed instructions, a sample write-up, and an online assignment for instant feedback. Students also maintain a lab notebook using college protocols and analyze data with graphing programs and spreadsheets.

There are two options for completing the lab component of the course.

If you cannot obtain a lab kit, don't worry. I have designed guided virtual labs that will allow you to meet the learning objectives of the lab component. Each guided virtual lab demonstrates the entire lab process and the data obtained. Students using the virtual labs make their observations, analyze the data, write their lab reports, and complete the associated online assignment that will grade the lab. There is no fee for the virtual labs.
