We are not a big company but rather a husband-and-wife team dedicated to delivering the best AP® Chemistry instruction available to homeschoolers as well as other independent learners whose international, public, or private schools do not offer AP® Chemistry. All we teach is AP® Chemistry.
In contrast to some online providers, you will know who your teacher is and that's me, Peter Moskaluk. My extensive background in teaching chemistry as well as my personalized approach and strict adherence to the most recent College Board requirements for AP® Chemistry allow me to deliver an exceptional, college-level course.
Mary Ann handles all of the administrative tasks required to keep our course running smoothly. She truly enjoys her interactions with students and parents and responds quickly to a broad range of questions. This allows me to focus 100% of my time teaching the class, answering student questions, and staying on top of the AP® Chemistry curriculum.
Mr. Moskaluk received a BS in Science and a Master of Science Education degree at Wayne State University. He has worked at numerous National Science Foundation teacher programs. As part of his Master's program, he worked with the Fairleigh Dickinson University Lab in St Croix monitoring coral reef oxygen respiration rates. He was sponsored by the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow at Princeton. While working for the National Science Foundation's Project Seraphim, he led workshops for chemistry teachers around the country, developed computer software applications for chemistry education, and hosted the International Internet Conference, CHYMNET, for chemistry educators. Mr. Moskaluk has served as editor for the Journal of Chemical Education and is a co-author of the widely used Quality Science Labs Advanced MicroChem Lab Kit.
Mr. Moskaluk was recognized as an inspiring, distinguished teacher, and received the Presidential Scholars Teacher Recognition Award in 2003. This honor is awarded to only one hundred teachers in the United States each year. Over the years many of Mr. Moskaluk's students have also been award winners in ACS Chemistry Olympiad competitions. (Unfortunately, President Bush was unable to attend, but Mr. Mosklauk had the honor of dining with Mrs. Bush.)
